Event Details

We are all affected by the AIDS pandemic, but more than others this epidemic carries the face of women. For it is women who bear the most significant burden of HIV and AIDS. As mothers, sisters and grandmothers, every day they experience and live out the reality of this epidemic...Let us use the universal language of music to sing out our message to the world. —Nelson Mandela

SisterLove pours energy and funds into HIV/AIDS education, prevention and human rights advocacy. For more than 20 years their work has helped women and their families cope with and conquer the effects of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Maggie’s Giving Group is proud to raise funds to aid SisterLove’s vital work with our Sing Out, Step Up! benefit on October 21, 2010.

Women account for nearly half of all new HIV infections every year, with few options for protection and limited access to healthcare and information that can save their lives. That’s why organizations like Atlanta’s SisterLove are critical not only in our city, but also in South Africa, where more people suffer and die from HIV/AIDS than any other country.

With your donation SisterLove can save lives!

$100 provides round trip transportation for 25 HIV+ women to attend Comfort Support Groups®

$250 provides HIV prevention education to 50 women at risk for HIV through the Healthy Love Party®
